A GATHERING AT GRATITUDE
Sheridan Write-Night
A Saturday in September · 6 to 9pm
Tentative — a gathering we're considering. Confirmed in the Letter.
Three hours. Thirty seats at the Table and in the Parlor. Cotton stationery, fountain pens, ink, sealing wax. We provide all of it. You provide the people you’re writing to.
The night opens with a brief talk from a local Sheridan writer — our first invited guest is Penny Zeller, the romance novelist — on gratitude as a craft tool, how it lives inside characters, how it makes a story tender enough to be true.
Then we write. Every letter gets stamped, sealed, and dropped in the slot before you leave. We mail them Friday. There is no program. No follow-up speaker. Just thirty people quietly writing to the people in their lives, with cider on the stove and a fire going.
This one is free. Always has been, always will be. It’s the event that reminds the house what it’s for.
