A GATHERING AT GRATITUDE

A Mystery at Gratitude

A Friday night through Saturday afternoon · A weekend in late September

Tentative — a gathering we're considering. Confirmed in the Letter.

A FLAGSHIP GATHERING.

A Friday-evening dinner at the Table. Sometime between the second course and dessert, an actor at the head of the room realizes their wine is poisoned. Or a letter arrives that no one will admit having sent. Or one of the dinner guests goes missing between the parlor and the porch. The plot starts.

Over the rest of the evening and Saturday morning, a small ensemble of local actors plays the scenario out — sometimes a fictional mystery written for the weekend, sometimes a real event from Sheridan’s own history that the house, or a house like it, may have seen. Guests are given clues and the opportunity to solve it. Saturday lunch brings the reveal.

Tickets fund the production and a portion of every ticket goes to the school or studio of the actors taking part. Lucy was the producer for It’s a Wonderful Life once upon a time — this is the show she has wanted to make again ever since.

Twenty-four seats. Two for the dinner table on Friday and a smaller circle in the parlor through the rest of the weekend. Overnight stay in any of the six bedrooms is included for guests who want it; non-overnight tickets cost less.
