Sanctuary.
Main floor · Low bed · Near the kitchen
For the grandparent, the recovering, the one who can’t do stairs tonight.
Sanctuary is on the main floor. Step-free from the front porch to the bed. The bed is intentionally low — you don’t climb into it. The bathroom is attached. The kitchen is fifteen steps through the living room.
We don’t advertise this as ADA-certified, because it isn’t. We do say honestly that this is the easiest room in the house for anyone whose mobility is having a complicated season — a grandparent who isn’t doing stairs anymore, a guest recovering from surgery, the person who packed the trip even though their hip is acting up.
It is also a perfectly good room for anyone who just doesn’t feel like climbing to the second floor at the end of a long day. The light is gentle. The bed is good.
A NOTE ON MOBILITY
Sanctuary is not ADA-certified. We say so because honesty matters when it counts. What we will say honestly: step-free from the porch, low bed, attached bath, short distance to the kitchen. If you have a specific accessibility question before you book, write to us and we’ll tell you exactly what the room offers. Email Lucy: lucy@gratitudesheridan.com.
